Robert Springall, in his own words |
| If he could speak to us today, Robert Springall might describe his life as follows. |
I can tell you next to nothing about my life. I wrote my will in 1638 naming my wife, Martha, and our 6 children and was dead by 1640 when the court recorded it in Sheringham, Norfolk, England. |
Of course, I let Martha live in the house for the rest of her life. When she died, my estate went to our younger sons, Richard and Robert Springall. One would conclude that the older boys, John and Thomas, were not living in Norfolk. Thomas Springall must have been the man of this name living in London and John was possibly the John Springall who left for Virginia on the Bonaventure 2 January 1634/5. |
