Henry Walker II, in his own words |
| If he could speak to us today, Henry Walker II might describe his life as follows. |
The gravestone of my daughter, Ann, identifies me as a resident of King and Queen County. She was only 19 when she married George DeJarnette in Essex County in 1783. |
I may have been the son of another Henry Walker of Abingdon Parish, Gloucester County, who was later in Essex County. I too was living in Essex County in 1761 when I witnessed a deed for William Bond who was then the husband of one of Henry’s daughters Frances Walker. |
Since records of both Gloucester and King and Queen counties are missing, I can reveal nothing of my family. |
