George Daniel, in his own words |
| If he could speak to us today, George Daniel might describe his life as follows. |
I was about 22 years old when I married 17-year-old Armon Brown in Brunswick County 15 December (bond) 1797. My brother Alexander Daniel was surety on my marriage bond that Green Jackson and Armon’s sister, Mary Ann Brown, witnessed. |
I died ten years later leaving Armon with 4 children. They held my estate sale 24 September 1807 and delivered it to the county clerk 24 April 1809—2 months before reporting to the court on our children, 24 July 1809. |
Our three daughters married Pritchett neighbors, and my widow, Armon, married Dennis Barrow in Brunswick County 2 November 1808. |

George appeared in the 1798 personal property tax list of Brunswick County. |
They returned the inventory and appraisement of George’s estate to the court 28 Sept. 1807. |
